A Fairy Tale
Little Hans and BIG Bill, the Ressourcenfresser
Once upon a very long time ago in a little tiny home of a small German town from the old days Little Hans lived in piece and unity with himself and his loved ones. But one day, he realized that there was openWCMS.org, a remarkable domain name longing for registration since 1997. What could Little Hans do in this case?
Little Hans, like a Brain-Child
Open WCMS and org stand appropriately and precisely for the intention of Little Hans: A Web Content Management System free for any use. At long last he followed his inner voice and registrated openwcms.org.
When looking over and over again like a brain-child for simple solutions that would fit to the capabililties of his customers and to his own, the childish idea was born in his brain. While taking action by night and day, day and night, he found inspiration and created the openwcms logo.
Great Bill, the Ressourcenfresser
And Great Bill, the Ressourcenfresser, became aware of all this. He was furious as never seen before in his life as CEO of Micro-Ressourcenfresser.
There must be no simple solution for anybody at all! Any WCMS for dummies is completely out of sight! In fact, it can not even exist as black box full of mysteries! KEEP IT COMPLICATED!
If someone wants to drive a car, he needs a licence, doesn't he? Really, that is fact! Hasta la vista, Baby!
... Bill outraged from his big chair. And Great Bill, the Ressourcenfresser, continued to gibber in public as well as in disclosure. And all the members of his big staff who weren't fired yet agreed to him and gave him a big hand.
But more and more programmers worldwide experienced the same thing. Faster central prozessor units, bigger hard disks and growing read only memories. One final day they stood up and proclaimed louder and louder:
KISS for all!
KISS for free!
Keep It Simple, Stupid !
Little Hans: I have a Dream
Many teams of programmers worldwide began coding to have a more or less individual wcms for their purposes. And Little Hans in good old Germany said:
I have a dream that I will one day surf in an internet where they will not be judged by the restrictions of their browser but by the content of their web sites made accordingly to the World Wide Web Consortium with XHTML and CSS!
I have a dream to work with a micro wcms generated from the same code which builds big projects as well!
If you are building a house for some reason, you may wonder how many thousands of stones you will need to get a complete building out of them as well as a garage. That's it! That really is all about it!
That was really true! Happy Little Hans was not alone with his childish idea. And a big enchanted chorus of internet users echoed throughout the world wide web striking the kingdom of gibbering Bill. More and more people refused to listen to this outdated Ressourcenfresser any more. At last he retired from Micro-Ressourcenfresser on Jan 8th, 2008. Now is the time to make things better!
Open WCMS means Simplicity and Performance
Finally a growing group of users was happy together coding open wcms and spreading the word of it's amazing simplicity and outstanding performance. And if they haven't died yet, they are still coding.
Yours
